Machine Operator - Metal Processing (Slitter / Shear Line) Location: Eastern Creek, NSW Pay Rate: $39 per hour OT Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 2:30pm | Friday 6:00am - 12:00pm (Saturday work highly likely) About the Company Our client is a leading metal manufacturing and processing business based in Eastern Creek. They operate in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment and are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join their growing team. About the Role This role will see you operating two main production lines - a Slitter Machine and a Shear Line. You'll play a key role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety in all aspects of coil processing. Key Responsibilities: Operate and set up Slitter Machine for coil processing Balance coils using an overhead crane (safety is a high priority) Operate Shear Line with various sizes and thicknesses Set up blade gaps according to material thickness using a butterfly blade Use leveller section (most technical area of the line) Perform manual handling - loading/unloading material from the line Enter data and numerical values into the system (training provided) Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace Skills and Experience Previous machine operating experience (preferably in metal processing or roll forming) Strong mathematical skills and ability to interpret measurements accurately Experience with slitter, shear, or roll forming machinery highly desirable Physically fit with a strong focus on safety and teamwork What's On Offer Excellent hourly rate - $39/hour overtime Ongoing, full-time opportunity with long-term potential Supportive team culture and strong focus on training Great working hours - early finish on Fridays!
