Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate field technician to provide exceptional maintenance support to satellite communication systems on a fixed-term basis. The role offers flexibility for a newly qualified technician with complete equipment training or for a senior technician who can work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist on and off-site maintenance services to satellite systems
* Support configuration management for mission systems
* Manage warehouse and supply activities for spares, repairable items, and test equipment
* Ensure compliance with governance and security obligations
* Produce routine equipment maintenance reports
* Maintain strong customer relations and participate as a rostered member of the 24/7/365 on-call team
Requirements:
* Trade Certificate III or IV in Communications or Electronic Engineering
* Senior technicians will have at least three years relevant experience post-qualification
* Knowledge of and experience with satellite or terrestrial communications systems
* Proficient in Microsoft office tools, especially Excel
* NV1 defence security clearance
