About Us
Shamrock Joinery is a custom timber window and door manufacturer based on the Central Coast, working across high-end residential and architectural projects. We specialise in bespoke joinery, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern systems and processes.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role based on the factory floor.
You’ll be responsible for leading and supporting a team of approximately 15–20 staff, keeping production moving, and stepping in to resolve issues as they arise.
This role plays a key part in how the factory runs day-to-day — from job flow and scheduling through to quality and output.
You will be accountable for the overall performance, quality, and output of work leaving the factory.
The role includes:
- Supporting and guiding the team day-to-day
- Working through production issues and bottlenecks as they arise
- Implementing and improving systems on the floor
- Scheduling jobs for production and managing workflow (FFRS)
- Forecasting deliveries in line with deadlines, budgets, and capacity
- Ensuring jobs are completed on time and to the required standard
- Managing quality control across all stages of production
- Reducing rework through strong quality control and attention to detail
- Monitoring productivity and keeping work flowing between sections
- Maintaining and enforcing safety across the factory
- Making day-to-day decisions to keep production moving
- Setting clear expectations and maintaining standards across the team
- Assisting management with KPI reviews and performance tracking
- Supporting apprentice inductions, training, and development on the floor
- Working closely with management, purchasing, and installation teams
This is an early start role, with a typical start time of 6:00am, aligned with factory operations.
The position is offered on a salary basis.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Joiner (or strong hands-on experience in joinery)
- Experience in custom timber windows and doors highly regarded
- Experience with production scheduling and job flow
- Strong understanding of quality standards and attention to detail
- Confident making decisions and taking ownership
- Strong problem-solving ability on the floor
- Able to lead by example and keep the team accountable
- Good communicator with both the team and management
