It aims to improve early childhood education for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families nationally, supporting children to enter school as confident and successful learners, developmentally on par with their peers.
It is a multidisciplinary model that offers high-quality early education and care, infant mental health, and family support, in partnership with families and community organizations.Cullunghutti Early Learning Centre was selected as the site for this program.
Previous trials showed significant improvements in children's cognitive (IQ and language) and non-cognitive skills (resilience and social-emotional).
The University of Melbourne research team conducted a rigorous evaluation, with some members establishing the Parkville Institute to continue this work.EARLY LEARNING CENTRECullunghutti Early Learning Centre is a purpose-built service located in South Nowra, catering to children from birth to 6 years.
