As a Data Centre Engineering Operations Technician (EOT), you will be front‐line responders for hands‐on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation. Your equipment will include stand‐by diesel generators, switchboards/switchgears, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems. You will provide 24/7 shift coverage, which may include 12‐hour shifts, rotating shifts, or 3‐, 4‐, or 5‐day work weeks.
To be eligible you must hold or attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.
Key Responsibilities
* Review the management of routine and corrective maintenance on critical systems such as switch gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, and building monitoring systems.
* Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations & maintenance.
* Assist with the design, implementation, commissioning, and build‐out of new facilities.
* Create and implement projects to increase facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, & reliability.
* Manage facility assets and infrastructure & inventory asset management.
* Oversee on‐site management of contractors, sub‐contractors, and vendors, ensuring all work complies with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
* Collaborate with business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimise plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability & efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
* Ability to cover 24/7 shift.
* Mechanical/HVAC/Electrical engineering knowledge.
* Active driver's licence.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of concepts and interaction of service management systems (problem and change).
* Degree or technical certification (military or trade school).
