They’ve been farming in the region for over 60 years and specialise in supplying high-quality, fresh produce, year-round, to food service customers across Eastern Australia and overseas.
Due to significant expansion and operating across multiple sites, they are looking for an experienced Commercial Accountant to join their team.
About the role:
Reporting through to the Managing Director, you will support the organisation's expanding operations by conducting and overseeing the financial functions of multiple entities and ensuring processes are followed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly reports, P&L; statements and cashflow reports;
- Assisting in the preparation of month-end reporting;
- Preparing BAS, Superannuation and PAYG statements (with your team);
- Liaising with managers to monitor budgets, identify trends and inform decisions;
- Working in with the external Accountant;
- Leading and mentoring junior finance team members; and
- Ensuring compliance requirements are met by the due dates.
About you:
To be successful in the role, you will have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA qualified or working towards preferred).
You will also have experience in commercial accounting, ideally within the horticulture or manufacturing industries.
We are seeking someone who may also have an affinity for IT systems, but most importantly, has an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy.
