About the role:
Reporting to the Superintendent Asset Strategy, this newly created role is responsible for leading the development of Port Waratah's Medium & Long-Term Service Delivery Plan. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will optimise machine outages and ensure alignment with operational priorities. You will also manage project engineering activities within the Maintenance team, overseeing all phases from scope development through to commissioning and close-out.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing medium & long-term service delivery plans in collaboration with stakeholders
Managing maintenance project delivery across design, execution, and commissioning
Coordinating stakeholder input and ensuring technical quality
Overseeing project budgets, schedules, and risk management
Ensuring compliance with CPMO governance, documentation and reporting requirements

What we are looking for:
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in heavy industry (essential); bulk materials handling (desirable)
Proven experience in project engineering and construction within similar complex industrial environments
Skilled in developing scopes, specifications, and managing stakeholder engagement
Understanding of project management principles, including long-term asset planning, reporting, and budget control
Effective communicator with effective coordination, influencing, and problem-solving abilities
