Role Overview
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Armament) – Hawk Lead‐In Fighter program at RAAF Base Williamtown NSW. Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled servicing of aircraft platforms, including weapon and escape systems, computer interfacing, and stores handling.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and service emergency escape, egress, and aircraft weapon systems, including on‐board computers and stores.
* Carry out scheduled servicing and unscheduled maintenance as directed by the Team Leader.
* Ensure all maintenance documentation is authorised, compliant, and recorded in a timely manner.
* Obtain required certifications for completed work within mandated timeframes.
* Report all defects, deficiencies, and maintenance errors promptly to the Team Leader.
* Execute maintenance tasks only within the delegated and authorised level.
* Initiate quality, non‐conformance, or defect reporting related to maintenance activities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate IV Aeroskills – Armament (mandatory).
* Australian citizen with ability to obtain a Defence clearance (mandatory).
* Experience or strong interest in working with Defence Military aircraft.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Capacity to deliver work within a fast‐paced team environment.
