Optimize daily fleet operations to ensure peak efficiency and reliability for our 1,100-vehicle customer delivery vehicle fleet. This role plays a key part in driving the overall performance of our online business.
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with multiple stakeholders, including large transport-based fleet operators, subcontractors, and external warehouse providers.
Manage fleet repair and maintenance expenditure while maintaining high operational standards.
Ensure all safety programs are effectively implemented and aligned with state and national regulations.
Lead and support an indirect team of 200 staff across Victoria and New South Wales, fostering a high-performance culture.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in fleet operations, logistics, and transport management within a large-scale environment.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex partnerships.
* A deep understanding of vehicle maintenance, compliance, and safety standards.
* Proven experience managing large budgets and operational costs.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Key requirements include:
* Proficiency in many disciplines including vehicle procurement, vehicle maintenance, operational procedures, incident management, and vehicle disposals.
* Proven experience in end-to-end supply chain management.
* Implemented transport management systems.
* Extensive knowledge of transport issues and factors.
* Understanding of supermarket policies and standards.
* Thorough understanding and demonstration of occupational health and safety.
* Proven track record in developing relationships and influencing others in a results-driven organization.
