Board Director (Voluntary)
Location: Maryborough Queensland
Commitment: Approximately 3-7 hours/month, including monthly board meetings

Community Care Foundation LTD (a not-for-profit charity) has provided disability services to the Fraser Coast Community for over 30 years. We have been supporting people in the community to live rich meaningful lives with dignity, choice, and a sense of belonging. Community Care Foundation is made up of experienced, compassionate people who care about what they do, and the people that they support.
The Opportunity
Community Care Foundation is seeking a passionate and strategic-minded Director to join our Board. We are looking for a dedicated individual to help guide our strategic direction, strengthen our governance, and expand our impact within the disability sector.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the organisation's mission.
* Ensure legal and financial compliance, including adhering to ACNC Governance Standards.
* Participate in monthly Board meetings and contribute to committee work.
* Act as an ambassador for the organisation in the community.
* Support fundraising initiatives and revenue diversification.
Qualifications
We encourage applications from individuals with skills in one or more of the following areas:
* Financial management/Accounting
* Marketing, Communications, or Social Media
* Fundraising/Philanthropy
Previous board experience is welcomed but not required; we encourage passionate individuals seeking their first board role to apply.

What else should I know?
Community Care Foundation has operated for over 30 years on the Fraser Coast, and is now part of the NDIS ecosystem. The change to the disability sector with the introduction of the NDIS has caused widespread difficulties for not for profit community based organisations, and has increased financial pressures sector wide.
Our organisation is more than the financial books; we are dedicated to the community that we serve, and that has resulted in some losses (though we have substantial reserves). We have recently undertaken strategic change, business modification and renewal, and ratification of services provided to stem losses and provide real opportunity for growth.
Our recent months of surplus are testament to this change being effective, and we are more than happy to have an open conversation to provide confidence to any new board directors.
