This role ensures robust financial governance, compliance, and risk management while leading financial planning and analysis to drive sustainable growth.
The Head of Finance will oversee financial controllers in APAC, the Americas, and Africa, ensuring alignment with corporate financial policies and global best practices.ResponsibilitiesWhat You Will DoStrategic Financial LeadershipProvide strategic financial direction, through translating strategy, corporate objectives and long-term growth plans into finance operations.Oversee the financial performance of global operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies, policies, and controls to optimize financial performance.Support the CFO and FP&A; team, in corporate financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.Work closely with FP&A; team, business unit leaders and operational teams to provide financial insights and improve decision-making.Financial Control & ComplianceEnsure financial compliance across all jurisdictions, including IFRS/GAAP (and relevant local) standards and regional regulatory requirements.Oversee the financial reporting cycle, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.Monitor and mitigate financial risks, including currency, tax, and operational risks.Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to maintain compliance with local and international financial regulations.Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial governance frameworks.Conduct financial risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities in operational, market, and financial risk areas.Ensure the mitigation of fraud, financial irregularities, and cybersecurity-related financial risks.In conjunction with the International Tax Manager oversees the lodging, documentation, and ongoing monitoring of local tax positions across jurisdictions, ensuring timely submission, accurate reporting, and alignment with statutory requirements and corporate governance standardsGroup and Statutory ReportingLeadership of statutory and group reporting overseeing the preparation and consolidation of statutory financial statements, public financial; disclosures, and monthly group reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS, ASX, and other global accounting standards.Governance, risk, and compliance oversight by ensuring timely and accurate external reporting, maintains compliance with evolving accounting, tax, and corporate governance requirements, and manages audit processes across multiple jurisdictions.Stakeholder and audit engagement build and manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, investor relations, and consultants to support transparent reporting, smooth audits, and high-quality disclosures.Policy and procedure governance establish, document, and regularly review financial policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks to ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with organisational objectives and regulatory requirementsSystems improvement and oversight identifying inefficiencies, drives automation and process improvements in reporting, and partners with IT/finance systems teams to ensure financial systems meet evolving regulatory and reporting needsFinancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;)Support the FP&A; team in driving global financial performance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership team.Collaborate with regional controllers to ensure alignment in budgeting and financial performance management.Enhance cost optimization strategies, leveraging financial data for operational efficiency improvements.Operational Finance & TreasuryOversee global cash flow management, ensuring liquidity and contributing to working capital efficiency.Partner with the CFO and Head of Treasury to optimize capital structures, hedging strategies, and funding models.Partner with the CFO and Head of Treasury to support investment and capital allocation decisions through data-driven analysis and financial modeling.Lead global initiatives to improve finance systems, automation, and reporting efficiency.Ensure effective cost management and profitability analysis, supporting business units in financial decision-making.Team Leadership & DevelopmentProvide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for regional Financial Controller and Group Reporting Functions.Foster a high-performance culture within the finance team, ensuring continuous professional development.Align finance team goals with corporate objectives, ensuring collaboration across regions and functions.ESG & Sustainability FinanceLead financial reporting on ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) performance and support sustainability-related financial decision-making.Ensure compliance with global sustainability finance regulations and reporting standards.Oversee carbon pricing, financial risk related to climate change, and sustainability-linked financing initiatives.QualificationsWho you are:EssentialCPA, CA, or equivalent accounting qualification.10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in multinational environments, including listed environments.Proven experience in financial management and compliance in global operations.Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Expertise in IFRS/GAAP,
