Operating with industry experts on major (> $2 Billion) projects, JDK attracts driven professionals who stay ahead of industry developments.The candidates will join JDK’s technical team to deliver services for infrastructure, tunnelling, and mining projects in Sydney and NSW from our Pyrmont Office.Benefits include a competitive salary, superannuation, bonus based on overtime, a new 4x4 vehicle for site and personal use, ongoing professional training, and the opportunity to work on international projects within a fast-growing company.Annual bonus structure applies.Key ResponsibilitiesReview geotechnical data for design inputDesign, review, and implement Hazard Plans, Permit to Drill & Mine, and Permits to MineProvide geological advice related to current and future mine plansConduct slope stability assessments, 3D modelling, and underground stability reviewsAssess, audit, and facilitate the evaluation of underground critical areasManage geotechnical risks in accordance with Mining Acts and RegulationsPerform stability analyses of UG excavations and open-pit slopes using industry standardsFacilitate audits and inspections for the technical services departmentOptimize ground support policies for underground developmentEnhance selective mining processes to reduce overbreak and dilution, maintaining a safety focusAbout YouWhite CardTertiary qualification in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or Mining EngineeringMinimum one year of tunnelling or underground mining experience; coal mining experience is advantageousClear communicator with an open personalityExperience with Geotechnical & Mining Software, including LeapFrog, Minex, Plaxis, Rocscience suite, and Map3DExperience in mine production and development operationsStrong analytical skills and knowledge of NSW statutory requirementsSend your expression of interest and resume to resumes@jdkgeotech.com.
