Job Overview:

* We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps professional to join our team. This role will be responsible for automating all aspects of our digital platforms, including cloud infrastructure, testing and code deployment.
* The successful candidate will improve system reliability and quality by integrating monitoring, reporting and fault handling into application platforms.
* In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate will provide specialist advice and identify opportunities to improve efficiency by automating existing processes.
* Maintaining a highly advanced technical knowledge of Digital Engineering's systems and services is also essential.
* This role will collaborate with Agile teams; participate in planning and review meetings and contribute significantly to the management of projects to ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed timeframes.

About You:

* You will have extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) products and automated code integration and deployment systems such as Bamboo or Jenkins.
* Solid experience in the development of efficient and repeatable Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment services for building and deploying software is required.
* Extensive experience developing infrastructure as code and supporting documentation for processes and standards is essential.
* You will need extensive experience with Linux and open-source web software stacks (LAMP or equivalent); and excellent proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python / Ruby / Perl / BASH).
* Well-versed with automated configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
* Extensive experience with using common third-party DevOps tools such as Datadog, New Relic, PagerDuty, JIRA and Confluence.
* Experience supporting and managing products delivered by CDN services such as Akamai or CloudFront.
* Highly advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate, analyse and solve very complex technical problems are a must.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.
