Job Title: Facilities Supervisor
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced facilities professional to oversee the maintenance, repair and compliance of our facilities assets. This includes ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for employees, customers and visitors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of contractors and staff to perform routine maintenance tasks and oversee major projects. You will also be responsible for monitoring scheduled maintenance on fire safety equipment and managing the operational register to ensure regulatory compliance.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure during peak periods.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the maintenance, repair and compliance of facilities assets
* Manage a team of contractors and staff to perform routine maintenance tasks
* Monitor scheduled maintenance on fire safety equipment
* Manage the operational register to ensure regulatory compliance
* Supervise contractors and staff to perform maintenance to minimize unscheduled breakdowns
* Authorise and sign off on approved rework requests
Requirements:
* Building trade background desirable: plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, masonry, concreting or landscaping
* Experience in construction, commercial, industrial and large infrastructure projects highly desirable
* Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience with well-developed communication skills
* Commitment to a high level of workplace health and safety
* Able to work under pressure during peak periods
