CommBank's Business Banking Operations (BBO) team is looking for a Manager to lead our Commercial and Business Lending Operations Documentation team within CommBank's Chief Operations Office. This is a 12‐month secondment/contract opportunity based in Sydney, NSW.

The Role

As a Manager you will oversee a team of approximately 16 FTE, managing the preparation and disbursal of Commercial Loan applications for our Commercial and Business Banking customers. Your role is to drive performance, risk excellence, and continuous improvement across the corporate lending documentation function.

Your Responsibilities

* Lead a team to achieve customer outcomes that are right the first time and within agreed timeframes.
* Oversee day‐to‐day operations, monitoring and analysing team performance and workflows using standardised systems and reporting.
* Identify, drive, and deliver continuous improvement and efficiency enhancements to create experiences our customers love.
* Build internal and external relationships through superior stakeholder‐management techniques and customer‐service skills.
* Plan and execute risk‐mitigating procedures, report results, and discuss risk‐management outcomes.
* Use the Group's people‐management systems and policies to manage people and complete all required people‐management activities.

Where Your Skills Come In

* Demonstrated experience in operations, providing support, mentoring, and development to create a strong team environment.
* Sound knowledge of the Commercial loan or Business Banking lending life‐cycle, enabling coaching and insights on best practice.
* Effective customer‐service, stakeholder‐management, and negotiating skills.
* Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work to deadlines.
* Ability to set performance targets and motivate or coach team members to achieve.
* Experience driving a continuous improvement culture within a team.
