The Role
Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in managing the group's consolidated financial position, overseeing transactional finance and leading compliance and reporting across a range of investment entities. This role combines technical rigour with commercial insight, supporting strategic decision-making and business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts and cash flow analysis
* Preparation and oversight of accounts payable, receivable, payroll and bank reconciliations
* Maintenance of general ledgers, journals and asset registers across group entities
* Preparation and Lodgement of Activity Statements
* Coordination of audit, governance and regulatory reporting requirements, including AFSL compliance duties
* Support for investment transactions, settlements and portfolio reporting
* Provision of financial documents and reports to CFO, external accountants, management and asset managers
* Continuous improvement of financial systems, controls and processes
About You
The role requires a detailed, orientated and proactive individual who is comfortable working in a small, close-knit team. Relevant tertiary qualifications and CPA/CA membership are essential.
Strong technical accounting and compliance knowledge with exposure to inter-entity transactions, consolidations and investment reporting is anticipated. Additionally, excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are crucial traits for success in this role.
