Beaudesert Isuzu Ute and Beaudesert Mazda is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our Service Departments at Beaudesert.

This role will suit someone who is comfortable operating in a high-accountability environment and has the resilience to manage competing demands across people, performance, customers and processes.

It is not a role for someone seeking a soft landing. It is a role for a leader who can stay composed under pressure, make clear decisions, and set consistent standards for their team.

As part of the Hinterland Group, you will be joining a long-established, award-winning dealership that has served the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim regions for over 40 years. We are proud of our customer-first mindset and our expectation that leaders set the tone through action, not just direction.

About the role

Reporting to the Dealer Principal, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the Service Department. This includes front-of-house service advisors, the workshop team, apprentices, and technicians.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading the Service Department with clear expectations, structure and accountability

* Delivering a consistent and professional customer experience from booking through to vehicle collection

* Managing department performance, profitability and key KPIs

* Addressing customer concerns promptly and effectively, including escalated matters to protect our strong Customer Experience standards and culture

* Working closely with the Workshop Controller to manage workflow, efficiency and quality standards

* Coaching and performance managing team members to lift capability, engagement and retention

* Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment and ensuring 5S principles are upheld

* Ensuring department practices align with Hinterland standards and brand expectations

* Actively building a stable, respectful and productive team culture

Skills & Experience

* Proven leadership experience within a franchised dealership or large workshop environment

* Automotive or truck mechanical background strongly preferred

* Confidence leading teams under pressure and making decisions in real time

* Strong customer focus with the ability to manage difficult conversations

* Disciplined and organised with solid communication and time management skills

* High level of personal integrity and professionalism

* Comfortable being hands-on, visible and accountable
