We are seeking an experienced Lifestyle Assistant to join our residential care team and contribute to the provision of excellent care for our residents at mecwacare Ballan our 51-bed aged care home (Ballan) and mecwcare Wahroonga House (Ballarat) our 90- bed aged care home.
As a Lifestyle Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator to deliver meaningful and engaging activities that promote connection, creativity, and wellbeing. Your support will help enhance the daily lives of our residents, encouraging independence and joy in a relaxed and caring setting.

What you bring:
* Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate people, particularly older adults, in recreational and social activities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team.
* Demonstrated capability to actively participate in activities and support client engagement.
* Empathy and respect for the needs of older adults.
* Previous experience in a similar role in residential aged care or community setting.
* Ability to contribute to the assessment of each resident’s care, social and emotional needs and design appropriate, individual lifestyle programs to meet their needs.
* An understanding of the ageing process and caring for older people
* Self-motivation with well-developed organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Well-developed computer skills
* Full Victorian Driver’s License
* Ability to drive a 10-seater Van
* Current Working with Children Check (WWC), Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certification.
