Lets Talk About You
As the Store Manager, you'll provide leadership to create an environment that promotes individual growth and development for our team members. Previous leadership experience is essential, with a focus on developing skills, knowledge, and behaviours to drive success. Your attention to detail will involve critical data analysis and understanding of stock flow principles to inform our pipeline and control costs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Communicate business strategy and set individual goals linked to site objectives for direct reports.
* Create a teamwork-oriented environment that values leadership qualities.
* Capture every opportunity to develop team members through coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, encouragement, and counselling as required.
* Monitor base manning and productivity to ensure wage performance meets or exceeds site budget wage percentage.
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of all administration and documentation required.
* Manage site budget to identify cost-saving opportunities and take corrective action where needed.
* Maintain store assets and equipment in optimum order.
* Regularly review financial trading information and initiate corrective action when necessary.
* Conduct weekly reviews of the Profit and Loss Report to monitor performance and take corrective actions as required.
* Evaluate volume and mix of merchandise to maximise sales and meet customer needs while maintaining inventory levels.
What You Bring To The Role:
* Previous Store/ Site Management experience
* Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
* Strong Leadership capability
* Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
* Basic computer skills
* Flexibility to work a 7-day trading roster, including late nights and weekends
* Previous Home Improvement experience an advantage
* Previous retail experience
