POSITION DETAILS
ROLE DESCRIPTION: The Theatre Technician assists the surgeon and nursing staff with surgical procedures through the provision, operation and maintenance of theatre equipment and the positioning/preparation of patients. They ensure equipment and stock are available and support efficient perioperative processes.
Role Responsibilities
* Assist the Surgeon and Nursing Staff with surgical procedures and theatre equipment; position and prepare patients.
* Facilitate efficient perioperative processes and operations.
* Ensure equipment and stock are available for perioperative staff.
Physical Requirements
* Frequent standing and use of upper limbs; occasional lifting and trunk rotation.
* Occasional heavy lifting, repositioning and handling of equipment.
* PPE and safety gear as required.
