Key Responsibilities include:
- Efficiently prepare and coordinate all documentation required to gain Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and Research Governance Office (RGO) approval for clinical trials under the role's administration to a high standard in accordance with stakeholder and institutional key performance indicators.
- Demonstrate and maintain the ability to apply up-to-date knowledge in the area including current developments, legislation and industry standards such as Therapeutic Goods Agency (TGA), Good Clinical Practices Guidelines, the NHMRC Harmonisation of Multi-Centre Ethical Review Initiative, NHMRC National Standards and the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research.
- Provide accurate and timely general advice to internal and external stakeholders on research ethics and research governance processes, including requirements of ethics and Site-Specific Assessment (SSA) applications.
- Develop practical knowledge of the regulatory framework for the conduct of clinical trials and governance, particularly as it relates to human research, in a public health facility
Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $100 071 p.a., comprising salary rates: $45.81 - $50.46 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO4) (fixed term temporary part time position available for 12 months, 36 hrs p.f.).
