**Role Details**: Lead and manage the operations of a team of Research Librarians, providing professional guidance to ensure the delivery of quality research, discovery, access, and use of the State Library collections to deliver customer focused outcomes for a modern research library in both the physical and online environment. Develop sustainable strategies for service delivery, while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide expertise and coordination of the State Library's legislative compliance with relevant copyright and rights management obligations.
**Special Conditions**:
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- This role requires a working with children check.
- This role requires a National Criminal History check.
**Essential Criteria**
- Degree in Information Management or Archives Administration, or a degree majoring in history, politics, anthropology, law or commerce, or another degree.
- Eligible for professional membership of the Australian Society of Archivists or eligible for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
