This is a whole time post offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Medic to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary acute care in Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.Applicants must be eligible for full Registration with the GMC at time of appointment.Please note we have the right to close vacancies early when receiving high numbers of applications.Main duties of the jobThe postholder will work on the Tier 1 rota working a 1:8 shift pattern (including night shifts) in the Adult A&E department at Southport.There will also be the opportunity to undertake some clinical shifts in the Paediatric A&E Department on the Ormskirk site.The department has undergone significant refurbishment over the last 18 months to create additional clinical areas. The department is well supported by a Hospital Alcohol Team, Mental Health, and is in the process of developing frailty services.
