Join a dynamic team as a Senior Prosthetics Officer and take on the challenge of overseeing prosthetic product procurement and supply, ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing, and inventory accuracy.
The successful candidate will provide leadership in purchasing operations, collaborate with clinical teams and suppliers, and help implement improvements to enhance overall supply service. You will oversee prosthetic purchasing activities in line with hospital contracts, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure compliant product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee prosthetic purchasing activities, ensuring alignment with hospital contracts and procurement strategies.
* Maintain supplier relationships, fostering collaboration and open communication for efficient product delivery.
* Align procurement with preferred supplier agreements, brands, and schedules, ensuring seamless supply chain management.
* Monitor and implement updates from the Commonwealth Government Prosthesis Schedule, staying up-to-date on regulatory requirements.
* Manage product evaluations, stock levels, and returns to optimize performance and reduce waste, driving process improvements across the organization.
* Lead purchasing workflows, supporting junior staff, and manage product trials, providing guidance and expertise to ensure project success.
* Liaise with theatre teams, suppliers, and hospital departments to ensure alignment between procurement and clinical needs, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
* Provide accurate, timely reporting, maintaining systems for audit-readiness, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, policies, and accreditation requirements.
About You:
We are seeking a strong communicator, problem-solver, and leader who brings accuracy, accountability, and professionalism to their work. The ideal candidate will have experience with purchasing and inventory systems, healthcare or medical supply experience, and previous experience in prosthetics supply.
Requirements:
* Experience with purchasing and inventory systems (e.g., SAP, Pronto).
* Healthcare or medical supply experience.
* Previous experience in prosthetics supply.
* High ethical standards and professionalism.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Sound computer skills (MS Office).
* Hospital experience and knowledge of supply/inventory functions in healthcare.
* Completion or progress toward a Diploma in Purchasing & Contract Management or equivalent.
