Apunipima Cape York Health Council is a community controlled Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health service, which provides culturally appropriate, family centred, primary health care services to the communities and people of Cape York.
About the role
This is a 6-month fixed term role responsible for providing high quality support to the Human Resources Manager and organisational managers for the delivery of a range of human resource services. The position will focus on the employment cycle including recruitment, onboarding, support in the probation and performance review processes together with the provision of general human resources advice.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Experience supporting and coordinating Human Resources processes across the employment cycle.
* Demonstrated ability coordinating recruitment and selection activities.
* Proficient in the interpretation of organisational policies and procedures, Employment Agreements and relevant legislation, including the Fair Work Act 2009.
* Experience providing human resources and industrial relations advice to management.
* Understanding of the historical and contemporary issues that impact on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and their communities, particularly in Cape York.
* Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with community protocols and customs.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources Management / Business
* Current Queensland Drivers Licence
* Current Blue Card positive notice or exemption, or willing and able to obtain prior to commencement
* Current AFP National Police Clearance or willing to obtain
