Family/domestic violence Social Worker
Desert Blue Connect Inc. are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join the family/domestic violence team. This position is responsible for the provision of a broad range of support services for victim/survivors of family/domestic violence.

Desert Blue Connect is a leading not-for-profit community organisation in Geraldton, Western Australia that offers specialist family violence response, emergency accommodation, primary prevention of family violence, rural support services and women's health. We offer a range of services across the Midwest for women, men and children. The Role:
The social worker will work as part of a team that provides counselling and case management to victim survivors of family/domestic violence.
Essential criteria include:
* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or similar Social Sciences and relevant experience.
* Eligibility for membership to relevant professional body.
* Experience working with families with complex needs and providing them with strategies to facilitate client goals.
* Knowledge and understanding of the dynamics, context and complexity of issues involved with family/domestic violence.
* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
* Demonstrated ability to work compassionately and effectively with Aboriginal people and people from a culturally and linguistically diverse background.
* Counselling qualifications and experience preferred.
Required licenses or certifications:
* Must hold Australian citizenship, or be a permanent resident of Australia.
* Proficient in the use of technology including email, the internet and Microsoft Office.
* Current drivers licence.
* National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.
* Evidence of qualification(s)

* Remuneration according to Desert Blue Connect EBA.
