Home and Garden Professional - what's involved in the role?

As a member of our Home and Garden Services team, you will deliver scheduled home and garden services and support the safety of our customer’s homes and surroundings. The role is available as Permanent Part Time (60 hours per fortnight) and hours are rostered within Tuesday to Friday 8am to 4pm.

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

Lawn maintenance – mowing, edging and brush cutting

Green debris clearing and removal

Light pruning and trimming of hedges and small trees

Weeding – including spray and hand pulling

Maintenance, care and cleaning of all Suncare equipment that is provided to you to support you in the delivery of customer services

Home maintenance services

Pressure washing

Exterior and interior window cleaning

Gutter clearing

Cleaning of ceiling fans, air-conditioners and bathroom exhaust fans

Cleaning of other high access items including overhead cupboards and smoke alarms

You will travel either with another team member or by yourself to our Bundaberg customers' homes using a Suncare vehicle and trailer that is stocked with all the maintenance and cleaning equipment required to deliver services.

About you

You will also:

have relevant and recent experience working in home and garden services, preferably in an aged care environment

possess excellent communication and planning skills

bring a proven ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team

be physically fit

have a valid Driver's Licence and First Aid and CPR certificates.

Remuneration: As prescribed by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award the rate of pay for this classification is currently $31.64 gross per hour, plus the minimum superannuation guaranteed contributions. As a not-for-profit organisation Suncare provides access to salary packaging benefits to increase your take-home pay.
