The goal of the VET for Secondary Students business unit is that every student finishes school ready to succeed in their chosen pathway as an informed, responsible citizen. To see that happen we are committed to enhancing access to high-quality vocational education and training (VET) in schools and school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. We provide high quality training for VET teachers and work to minimise their administrative burden. About the position
The VET Support Advisor manages a team of VET Support Officers who support schools in the provision of VET pathways for students. The VET Support Advisor works locally with school leaders, cross-departmental program officers, industry and TAFE NSW representatives, and other providers and partners to promote, support and coordinate the provision of VET pathways.
There are two separate positions, each supporting a group of VET Support Officers. One position supports schools in metropolitan Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. The other position supports schools in regional, rural and remote areas of south-western NSW and the South Coast of NSW.
A current and valid driver's licence is required. Travel will be required for all positions.
