About the Role
As an Associate – Litigation, you will work on high‑value disputes across the energy, financial services, resources, and public sector sectors. You will handle large‑scale litigation involving catastrophic loss events, commercial recoveries, regulatory disputes and cross‑border insurance claims, often representing insurers, corporates and government bodies.
Managed by a senior partner focused on complex Directors & Officers, recovery actions and Lloyds market activity, you will be part of a supportive team with strong mentors and a structured learning and development program.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and conduct litigation for high‑value disputes in the global resources sector and related markets.
* Assist in managing catastrophic loss events, commercial recoveries, regulatory disputes and cross‑border insurance claims.
* Research, draft pleadings, brief witnesses and present cases in court and tribunals.
* Collaborate with senior attorneys and support resource development and training.
Qualifications
* 2–4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in commercial litigation.
* Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) with a strong academic record.
* Strong analytical, communication and independent working abilities.
* Motivation for executing strategy in sophisticated litigation environments.
Compensation & Benefits
Base pay range A$125,000 – A$144,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
