About Select
Select Building Maintenance division provides our customers with a specialised, tailored and dependable building/facilities maintenance service. Our approach is to deliver the bulk of our services using our own team of qualified and experienced trades. The team includes Carpenters, General Handyman, Painters, Genal Laborer's, Electricians, Plumbers, HVAC technicians and general ground maintenance in NSW, VIC, WA, SA & ACT.
About the role
We are looking for a Carpenter to join the Select team.
In this role you will carry out various maintenance task for clients across Newcastle, NSW. This includes tasks refurbishments, fit out and de-fit out projects, repairs to building façades and interiors, painting and patching, replacing doors and door locks, and related ad-hoc maintenance duties.
You will also construct, build, install, repair and erect wooden frames, foundations, walls and fixtures on residential, commercial and industrial projects. This could include hanging doors, fixing furniture and other tasks.
This is a full-time permanent position. You are required to work 40 hours per week, 2 hours per week accrue towards and rosters day off (RDO) Typically, you will start at 7 AM and finish at 3:30 PM. This will vary from time to time depending on project and client requirements.
We provide maintenance services to variety of clients inaged care, retirement living, retail, education, government, data centres, commercial buildings, and banking.
Skills and experience
* Certificate III Carpentry required
* Construction white card required
* Covid and flu vaccination required
