Our Bookshop team is looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Customer Service Officer to be the welcoming face of our Bookshop supporting students, staff and our vibrant campus community.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys customer service, independence and being part of a supportive team. Whether you’re experienced in retail, administration or developing your skills we’d love to hear from you!
Working alongside our Library team, you’ll be a go-to person for all things Bookshop. You’ll have your own area of responsibility, but you’ll also be surrounded by a team who will support you as you learn the role.
Some key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
* Deliver friendly, helpful customer service in person and over the phone.
* Assist customers with purchases, payments and general enquiries including assisting students with purchasing items for their courses such as PPE and stethoscopes.
* Process and coordinate Bookshop orders with accuracy and follow-up.
* Monitor and reconcile stock levels, reporting discrepancies as required.
* Process invoices and maintain accurate electronic stock records.
* Manage banking and electronic payments in line with procedures.
