About the role
You'll be responsible for carrying out brick and block laying works across new residential builds, ensuring high standards of workmanship, safety, and productivity.
Key duties
* Lay bricks/blocks for external and internal walls in residential construction
* Interpret plans, set out works, and ensure correct levels, plumb and alignment
* Mix and apply mortar, cut and shape bricks/blocks as required
* Construct footings, piers, partitions, fireplaces, retaining and feature walls (where applicable)
* Install lintels, damp-proof courses, wall ties and reinforcement as required
* Maintain clean work areas, manage materials, and minimise wastage
* Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades to meet build schedules
* Follow WHS requirements and site safety procedures at all times
What we're looking for
* Trade qualification and/or demonstrable experience as a Bricklayer
* Minimum 2 years relevant post-qualification experience (preferred)
* Ability to read drawings and work to building standards and tolerances
* Strong knowledge of WHS, manual handling and safe work practices
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced site environment
