Part time (0.6 FTE - 21 hours per week), fixed term role up to 9 months. The role is hybrid with remote work and travel to ACU Strathfield campus as needed. Commitments include consultation with participants on Wonnarua Country (NSW Newcastle-Maitland region).

About The Role
Operating within ACU Psychology (Strathfield) and in partnership with the Wonnarua Nation Aboriginal Corporation, the Institute of Positive Psychology and Education and RMIT, ACU is developing a first of its kind virtual reality training and education program to improve licence attainment and driving safety of young First Nations peoples.

* Involved in conducting face-to-face studies with young First Nations people using virtual reality driving simulation.
* Under supervision, assist with recruitment and data collection for a large-scale longitudinal, multi-site project.
* Liaise with all partners for the successful completion of this project.
Qualifications / Requirements
The Research Assistant role works remotely with project commitments based on Wonnarua country in the Newcastle-Maitland region of NSW and will be required to travel to ACU Strathfield campus on an ad-hoc basis. The candidate will be:
* Involved in conducting face-to-face studies with young First Nations people using virtual reality driving simulation.
* Under supervision, assist with recruitment and data collection for this large-scale longitudinal, multi-site project.
* Liaise with all partners for the successful completion of this project.

* Total remuneration valued to $112,625 - $120,977 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $95,170 - $102,227 (pro rata) pa (HEW 6), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

* Annual leave loading of 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata, dependent on commencement date.
