Overview
Clinical Nurse Consultant - Tasmania - Permanent Contract. Location: Queenstown, Tasmania. Position type: Permanent, full time, day worker, up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible (hours negotiable).
Title: Clinical Nurse Consultant - West Coast District Hospital. Salary: $118,297 to $125,543 per annum + employer 12% superannuation contribution. Post Graduate Allowance up to 10% based on qualification type; Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of $3,797 per annum; 10% remote allowance. Salary Packaging: up to $9,010 for living expenses + $2,650 for meal entertainment per FBT year plus other eligible benefits. Visa sponsorship and relocation support available for eligible UK/IE candidates.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert clinical leadership and consultancy across inpatient and emergency services.
* Lead initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, safety, and service delivery.
* Support the development and implementation of clinical standards, protocols, and quality improvement strategies.
* Act as a resource and mentor for staff, promoting evidence-based practice and clinical excellence.

You will need
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications (desirable).
* Advanced Clinical Knowledge: Experience in rural health nursing and coordination of nursing practice; ability to apply primary health care principles in a leadership role within rural health emergency and inpatient settings.
* Leadership & Influence: Ability to lead clinical initiatives, mentor staff, and contribute to strategic planning and service development.
* Quality & Safety Focus: Experience in clinical governance frameworks, quality improvement programs, and risk management strategies.
* Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and engage stakeholders in improving care outcomes.
