**Job Description**: 
**Your New Role**
The Training Support Lead is responsible for managing and executing all training requirements for the Wagardi Development Centre in accordance with the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL). The Training Support Lead will assess the needs of Wagardi; implement training and development plans; and facilitate a wide variety of training programs that enhance the effectiveness of the Australian Defence workforce.
Specific functions and responsibilities include:
- Identify and assess the training needs of the organisation through job analysis, career paths and consultation with Defence stakeholders. 
- Evaluate existing training and collaborate with Defence stakeholders to develop training materials that achieve defined learning outcomes 
- Collaborate with Defence stakeholders in developing the schedule of training delivery 
- Design and develop training material that targets tangible results 
- Conduct trial courses for newly developed training solutions 
- Implement effective and purposeful training methods, whilst meeting Defence's training needs. 
- Delivery of face to face training to Defence Wagardi Users 
- Maintain all training documentation, including Learning Management Programs, processes and procedures 
- Evaluate organisational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance 
- Drive Defence values and philosophy through all training and development activities 
- Effectively communicate with team members, management and Defence stakeholders 
- Manage the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training 
- Keep abreast of training needs, developments and best practices.
**Qualifications**: 
**Qualifications** 
- The ability to achieve and maintain an NV1 level security clearance. 
- Holds as a minimum Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
**Experience**
Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company's objectives. You will also have:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in training and development management 
- Current or very recent experience using an eLearning authoring tool, such as Adobe Captivate 
- Current or very recent experience managing technology-based Learning Management Systems (LMS) 
- Possess a detailed working knowledge and proven experience designing training using the ADDIE methodology; ideally possessing knowledge and experience designing training using the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL). 
- Ideally possess knowledge and experience from within the Defence training environment.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to coach and mentor others to further the professional development of the team.
