Our Client combines a shrine, a world-class museum, and an extensive archive. Its purpose is to commemorate the sacrifice of those Australians who have died in war and to assist Australians to remember, interpret and understand the Australian experience of war and its enduring impact on Australian society.
This position is a **Retail Assistant** role and is due to commence ASAP. Your role is to deliver a professional, friendly, and welcoming retail shop experience for our visitors and clients. You will play a vital role in supporting the institution's mission by providing exceptional customer service and sharing our unique range of products that serve as a tribute to our nation's military history.
**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Greet and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
- Provide expert knowledge on our product range, including books, memorabilia, and exclusive commemorative items.
- Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the retail area, ensuring products are attractively displayed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Stay informed about the latest exhibitions, events, and services offered
**WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU-**

- The Pay Rate for this assignment is $30.10 including casual loading, plus 11% superannuation
**REQUIREMENTS-**
- Previous experience in retail or customer service
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse visitors
- An interest in Australia's military history and a willingness to learn about the products in store
- The role requires a high level of customer service as well as great presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with using point-of-sale systems.
- Availability to work weekends
- You do need to be an **Australian Citizen **to work for us on this assignment and also be able to pass a **National Police Check**.
You would be required to attend a face-to face interview in **Hoban Canberra Office**, and if successful, you would be required to meet our client on site.
