About the OpportunityBased in Forrestdale, Western Australia, a new and exciting opportunity is available for a hands-on Logistics and Distribution Coordinator to join our team.Reporting to the DC Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the logistics team on shift.With leadership, proactivity, and energy, you will ensure customer service is delivered while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.Key accountabilities of the role include:Coordinate operations across all shifts, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.Promote and ensure 'on time and in full' service for customer needs.Implement corrective and preventative actions for supply issues.Maintain effective communication across shifts.Coordinate with Production Planning.Manage labour, including casual staff, to ensure appropriate workforce levels.Proactively manage performance, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.Facilitate toolbox talks and staff meetings to promote active communication and training.Maintain standard reporting systems and records by the end of each shift.Ensure all orders are picked and loaded according to plan, meeting dispatch times.Manage stock rotation to support FIFO product flow.Perform daily checks of codes and stock receipting within designated timeframes.Monitor and control cold room temperatures to meet Lactalis standards.Assist in operating within budgetary guidelines.Coordinate quality checks, including GMP, processes, and paperwork.Ensure all employees adhere to Lactalis policies and procedures.Maintain knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, practices, and legislative requirements.Support operational flexibility across different shifts.Follow all safety and quality policies at all times.Note: some out-of-hours work may be required.About YouExperience in FMCG distribution is highly advantageous.Experience working in cold rooms is desirable.Supervisory experience.Ability to work efficiently and proactively with initiative.Strong decision-making and planning skills.Attention to detail and highly organized.Leadership skills to guide, mentor, and support staff.Excellent communication and customer service focus.Proactive attitude.Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.Click on the link to learn more about Lactalis Australia and our journey to becoming the world's No.1 dairy company.We thank you in advance for applying; only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
