**How will I help?**
This is an exciting opportunity in the Market Risk second line function to provide oversight of traded market risk in the Financial Markets function focusing on Credit. You will provide key support to the Senior Manager in FM Market Risk that leads a small team covering Credit Trading, Credit Relative Value and XVA Risk.
The Market Risk team has high impact and visibility, and you will be a key member of the team providing technical oversight capability. You will also play a central role in ensuring alignment to obligations under APS116 and the Group risk management framework.
**You will also**:
- Provide oversight of traded market risk within the Westpac Financial Markets function with a focus on Credit (both primary and secondary)
- Conduct ongoing trade and position analysis with a focus on market risk metrics such as sensitivity analysis, VaR and stress testing
- Collaborate with other Market Risk Oversight team members to ensure that changes are effectively managed and that the change management is appropriately documented and followed
- Work closely with teams in Financial Markets, Market Risk Reporting, Market Risk Analytics, Stress Testing and Finance, to ensure comprehensive analysis is performed as required

**What do I need?**
- Extensive number of years' experience in risk and financial services - with exposure to traded market risk
- Strong understanding of Credit products and both primary and secondary market dynamics
- Solid understanding of key market risk concepts such as sensitivity measures, VaR and stress testing
- A strong understanding of fixed income and interest rate derivative products including pricing
- Familiarity with Australian market risk regulation - particularly APS116
- End user experience in Front Office system solutions (i.e.,Murex) is desirable
- Proficiency in any of the following: Python, SQL, VBA
- A degree in a quantitative field and certifications (CFA, FRM) would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience serving as a single point of contract across multiple fields, managing the relationships with various stakeholders to achieve shared goals
