Join Wellington Orthodontics' dynamic team in Hobart and start your career in dental assisting with our Trainee - Dental Assisting Certificate III position. This full-time role offers the opportunity to obtain your Dental Assisting Certificate III qualification while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive, professional environment.
Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents or have a visa that allows for traineeships under VEVO check to be eligible for this position.
Candidates must be 16 years of age or older to apply for this trainee position.
What you'll be doing
* Assist the dentist and hygienist during patient consultations and treatments
* Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment
* Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are well-stocked
* Provide excellent customer service to patients
* Undertake administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
* Learn and undertake various laboratory tasks, digital and handmade
* Learn and apply all relevant dental and workplace health and safety protocols

* Strong customer service skills and a passion for healthcare
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach to work
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* A willingness to learn and develop your skills
* Minimum education requirement of Year 10 completion
