We are a leading timber / laminate floor supplier in Australia and are looking to fill a vacancy for a **Sub Floor Leveller/ Preparer **to join our **Installation team**.
**The main purpose of this role is to prepare concrete & timber sub-floors in readiness for the installation of timber and laminate floors.** A tool of trade vehicle, mobile phone, and tools will be supplied to the successful applicant.
**We are seeking a person who can work autonomously, reporting to the Installation Manager. Key responsibilities are**:
- Attend sites across Melbourne to accurately prepare sub floors for installation of flooring in line with company standards.
- Liaise with Building Supervisors and other trades in a professional and courteous manner, in relation to completed jobs and works in progress.
- Liaise with members of the installation team as required.
**The successful applicant will have**:
- Experience with subfloor preparation or relative building industry experience (eg. tiling, plastering, concreting etc)
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening etc).
- Attention to detail.
- A positive approach and you are reliable.
- Desirable for the applicant to live in or close to Western or Northern suburbs.
It is desirable that you have experience in preparing concrete floors, an ability to meet deadlines and have an eye for detail. In addition, you will enjoy building relationships and communicating with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
