Job Description
Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking for another internal sales engineer to join our team in Castle Hill, NSW. This role focuses on supporting the sales and technical delivery of our process instrumentation product portfolio, including pressure and level transmitters, flow sensors, moisture sensors, valves, rupture discs, relief valves and flame arresters. You will work closely with senior sales engineers and technical specialists to support customers across chemical, process, water, manufacturing and energy sectors.
To excel in this position, you'll need an inquisitive mindset coupled with strong technical prowess and communication skills. Your ability to convey technical concepts clearly to prospective clients will be crucial. We're looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with a results-driven approach, capable of thriving in a collaborative environment. You will also need to be a self-starter, problem solver and growth seeking professional. A background in mechanical / process engineering would give you suitable foundations for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the internal sales process, including but not limited to:
o Assist with qualifying enquiries and responding to customer questions
o Preparing of quotations, proposals and technical documentation
* Provide technical and commercial support to customers
* Work closely with senior internal sales, field sales and engineering teams to deliver customer solutions
* Develop product and application knowledge across pressure, level, flow and safety instrumentation
* Assist in managing existing customer accounts and identifying opportunities for growth
* Liaise with international principals and suppliers for technical and product information
* Build understanding of relevant industry standards, applications and competitor products
Desired Qualifications:
* Ideally 1+ year experience in engineering, technical sales, applications engineering or a related role
* Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical / Process Engineering.
* Interest in process instrumentation, automation or industrial measurement
* Foundational understanding of fluid mechanics and industrial processes
* Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
* Organised, proactive and keen to develop technical and commercial capability
* Full work authorization in Australia
* Familiarity with process instrumentation brands such as Rosemount, Endress+Hauser, WIKA, Yokogawa or Honeywell is an advantage.
