About The Role
Based at the Brisbane site and reporting to the Sales Manager (Metal – East), The Account Manager - Metal is primarily responsible for Sales and technical service support for all allocated customers in the assigned territory. The Account Manager - Metal position also plays a key role in the planning and implementation of both the Regional and customer-specific sales and marketing plans, to achieve increased sales, revenue growth and profile of the business.
* Maintain optimum liaison with customers in each allocated territory.
* Liaise with Technical Staff of customers to monitor any changes in attitude or requirements.
* Lead and Mentor Technical team members
* Develop key customer contacts in order to promote new opportunities for growth.
* Work closely with customers to continually improve and add value to their business, at the same time recognising the implications of our actions on profitability.
* Provide technical advice and support to customers in relation to product range.
* Ensure that company products are performing to the satisfaction of customers.
* Conduct product testing on a regular basis, including installation, component, pull and tension tests.
* Create business plans and budgets for allocated customers.
* Identify areas of potential growth and ensure adequate supply to meet demand.
* Recognise and encourage new product development opportunities, ensure customers are aware of full product range.
