Following our recent acquisition by Qantas, we are scaling our internal expertise and looking for a Salesforce Engineer to become a key knowledge holder for our platform. Reporting to our Technical Delivery Manager, you'll join a fresh, curated team of professionals who value collaboration over micromanagement.
Organisational Structure
This role can be based in either our Byron Bay HQ or our Gold Coast office with the ability to commute to the Byron office or GC sites on an as needed basis to connect with the team. The position offers flexible working hours between 7:00am to 3:00pm, 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm - you choose! As a 100% on-site business, a full time in-office presence is required in this role to foster connection, collaboration, and results.
A Day in the Life
You will be responsible for the design, development, and support of our core Salesforce platform and automations. Your day-to-day will involve:
* Developing & Coding: Writing efficient Apex code, managing complex Salesforce Flows, and running SOQL queries to manipulate data.
* Problem Solving & Attention to Detail: Troubleshooting platform issues and diagnosing Salesforce Flow failures with speed and accuracy.
* Integration: Managing the technical setup and seamless integration between Salesforce and external applications.
* Security & Compliance: Proactively addressing security vulnerabilities and managing PII (Personally Identifiable Information) to ensure data integrity.
* Innovation: Translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and keeping the platform current with the latest Salesforce releases.
To be a Front Running Candidate
We are looking for a Developer first. Whether you are a Salesforce expert or a Developer who is ready to learn the platform on the job, we want to hear from you.
* Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, and Salesforce Flows.
* Experience with APIs, SQL, HTML/CSS, or AMPscript.
* A strong understanding of Salesforce architecture (roles, profiles, sharing rules).
* The Mindset: You are self-driven, positive, and an "enabler, not a blocker".
Nice to Haves:
* Experience in E-commerce or Travel industries.
* Exposure to Salesforce Marketing, Service, Sales, or Experience Clouds.
* Tertiary qualifications in IT or Computer Science (though we value proven skills above all else).
