Lead a Brand New School Tuckshop
Construction of our new tuckshop facility completes in March 2026. This is a rare opportunity to step into a purpose-built space and take full leadership of a high-volume school food operation from day one.
Morayfield State High School P&C is seeking an experienced and commercially capable Tuckshop Manager to establish, lead and grow the tuckshop as a sustainable, high-performing business servicing more than 1,800 students, staff and visitors.

The Role
This is a salaried, term-time position operating Monday to Friday during school terms only.
The four weeks of annual leave are taken during the summer school holiday period. In addition, there are 8 weeks* unpaid school holiday stand-down aligned with term breaks.
No nights.
No weekends.
Early starts required.
Four weeks annual leave is taken over the summer school holidays, with full leave entitlements in accordance with the Queensland P&C Award.
You will be responsible for the complete management of the tuckshop including:
* Establishing systems and processes in a brand new facility
* Menu development and cost control
* Supplier management and stock ordering
* Financial oversight including cash handling and record keeping
* Recruiting, training and rostering staff
* Leading and coordinating volunteers
* Ensuring food safety, hygiene and Workplace Health and Safety compliance
* Delivering fast, affordable and nutritious food options
You will report directly to the P&C President and operate with a high level of autonomy.
About You
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
* Proven experience as a chef or commercial cook in a fast-paced environment
* Strong operational and business management capability
* Experience leading and supervising staff
* Sound financial acumen including menu costing and stock control
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* A commitment to food safety and compliance
You must hold, or be willing to obtain:
* A current paid Blue Card
* A valid Food Safety Certificate
