Key Responsibilities
* Holistic Clinical Care: Deliver person-centered, evidence-based mental health interventions tailored to your specific discipline (Nursing, Social Work, OT, or Psychology).
* Comprehensive Assessment: Conduct mental state examinations, psychosocial assessments, and clinical risk formulations to guide treatment planning.
* Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individual or group-based therapy, psychoeducation, and crisis support focused on long-term recovery.
* Collaborative Care: Work within a tight-knit multidisciplinary team to ensure a seamless, "no-wrong-door" approach for consumers.
* Risk Management: Develop and implement robust safety and relapse prevention plans in collaboration with consumers and their support networks.
* Community Outreach: (For community roles) Manage a clinical caseload, providing home-based support and coordinating with local GPs and NGOs.
* Professional Integrity: Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and relevant professional standards.
Selection Criteria
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Professional Registration: * Nurses: Current AHPRA registration (Division 1).
o Occupational Therapists: Current AHPRA registration.
o Psychologists: General registration with AHPRA.
o Social Workers: Eligibility for membership with the AASW.
* Specialization: Postgraduate qualifications in Mental Health (or equivalent recognized international qualification) are highly regarded.
* Experience: Demonstrated experience in acute, community, or crisis intervention mental health settings. We are looking for clinicians with a solid clinical foundation and the ability to hit the ground running.
* Driver's License: A valid driver's license is essential for all community-based positions.
Knowledge & Skills
* Clinical Acumen: Strong skills in mental health assessment and the ability to manage complex clinical risks.
* Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage consumers from diverse cultural and rural backgrounds.
* Autonomy & Teamwork: The ability to work effectively as an independent practitioner in the field while contributing to a multidisciplinary team culture.
