What You’ll Be Doing Senior Mechanical Engineer Lead mechanical projects, primarily across our thermal assets (but also hydro/wind) Analyse asset performance and lead optimisation efforts Oversee contractors, consultants, and project timelines Contribute to regulatory, environmental and compliance efforts Work closely with our operations, asset management, and leadership teams Travel across NZ as needed Mechanical Engineer Support delivery of mechanical projects across multiple technologies Collect field data, prep designs and technical reports Learn asset and project management from the best in the biz Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors Further develop practical engineering and asset management skills in a hands-on environment Who We’re After Senior Mechanical Engineer Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering 8 years of experience in industry (ideally thermal, hydro or wind) Strong project management and technical delivery chops Commercial nous and a knack for creative problem-solving Passion for sustainability, teamwork, and Kiwi ingenuity Mechanical Engineer Mechanical Engineering degree (or similar) 2–3 years post-grad experience Curious, hands-on and driven to learn Strong communicator with practical problem-solving instincts Ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in Perks & Benefits We don’t just talk the talk on work-life balance and wellbeing – we deliver: - Competitive salaries benchmarked to the industry, - Wellness leave - Health, life & trauma insurance - Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) - Flexible work options where possible - Support with relocation to Central Otago (if you’re up for the move!)
