Property Risk Australia Pty Ltd (PRA) is a highly regarded Risk Management & Occupational Hygiene consultancy with established offices in the Gold Coast, Sydney, Wollongong, Canberra and Melbourne. We are currently looking for an experienced Laboratory Asbestos Analystto join our Alexandria NSW laboratory team.
In this role you will be responsible for, but are not limited to:
- Preparation, analysis and reporting of a wide variety of laboratory analyses including Airborne Asbestos Fibre Monitoring, Bulk Asbestos Fibre Identification, Gravimetric dusts and Crystalline Silica Analysis by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD).
- Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment and maintaining levels of laboratory consumables and supplies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the laboratory, ensuring compliance to NATA 17025 and ISO Accreditations.
- Assist with research towards emerging technologies and new analysis methods.
- Facilitating training of staff.
What's we are looking for:
· A minimum of 1 year experience with Bulk Asbestos Fibre Identification in a NATA Accredited laboratory, in line with AS 4964 and AS 5370 is essential.
· Experience with Airborne Asbestos Fibre counting by PLM, Gravimetric and XRD analyses is advantageous.
· Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work autonomously in a team environment; be reliable and self-motivated, with good verbal and written communication skills and strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
· Experience with equipment calibration, maintenance, servicing and consumable purchasing is highly regarded.
