Our Gold Coast office is looking to place a motivated Civil Drafter to contribute to our growing portfolio of diverse and technically challenging projects.
Position Description
Produce accurate, high-quality civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant drafting tools.
Work collaboratively with a team of experienced engineers and designers to deliver project outcomes.
Assist in the design and documentation process during the construction phase of projects.
Prepare detailed sketches, charts, plans, tabulations, and designs for a wide range of civil engineering projects, including drainage, water supply, sewerage reticulation systems, flood modelling, catchment analysis, earthworks, roads, airports, dams, bridges, and other structures.
Interpret project instructions, apply the appropriate procedures, and select suitable methods, tools, and equipment for each assignment.
Gather and analyse technical data, performing necessary computations and assessments.
Estimate material quantities and costs, ensuring that completed works comply with specifications, standards, regulations, and contract requirements.
Skills and Experience Requirements
Completion of an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (or equivalent qualification in a related discipline).
A minimum of one (1) year of civil drafting experience.
Additional relevant experience (typically three years or more) may substitute for formal qualifications in accordance with industry standards.
Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and related civil design or drafting software.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, including roads, drainage, sewerage, water systems, and general infrastructure projects.
Thorough knowledge of Australian Standards and local authority regulations, with the ability to apply them accurately to project documentation.
Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to produce high-quality, accurate technical drawings in a timely manner.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Enthusiasm to learn and grow in a technically focused environment, supporting continuous improvement and professional development.
Registration or licensing, where required, will be viewed favourably.
