About The Role
The position of Aboriginal Environmental Health Officer has become available within the Public Health Unit. Working closely within a small team, located across Far West and Western NSW LHDs, you will be responsible for a diverse range of regional rural and remote Environmental Health activities.
The Public Health Unit (PHU) that serves the population of the Far West and Western NSW areas, so the position will engage with other PHU teams: Communicable Disease, Immunisation, Epidemiology and Surveillance, HIV and Related Programs, and administration.
The role will suit a self-motivated and organised person, who can work individually, as well as within a team. While the role requires a qualification, we encourage those nearing their qualification as an Environmental Health Officer to apply.
The position will communicate regularly with local Councils' water and environmental health staff, be responsive to customer enquiries, and work collaboratively to meet the deadlines and team priorities.
