Blacktown & Mt Druitt Hospitals both offer convenient access to shopping centres, just a 10-minute walk away. What you'll be doing This senior role leads transformation in QUM and Medication Safety at BMDH, driving innovation, education and system improvements across the pharmacy service. Your responsibilities will also include: Leading system change to improve medication safety Managing QUM programs and digital innovations Driving quality, education and staff development Collaborating across teams and health networks Using data insights to guide safer practice How to Apply Apply online by submitting your resume and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date. Essential Criteria: Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by a tertiary institution e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy and post registration clinical or management/leadership qualifications or equivalent skills/experience. Registration: Registered with no restrictions as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Selection Criteria: Registered without restrictions as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with post registration clinical or management/leadership qualifications or equivalent skills/experience. Grade 3 Pharmacists must meet the criteria set out in the Health Employees' Pharmacist (State) Award and are expected to continually demonstrate achievement of competencies within the Award. Must be able to participate in flexible work hours, on call, after hours, weekend and public holiday work as required. Significant experience and a demonstrated high level of competence, expertise, skill and application of clinical judgment in clinical pharmacy services with experience delivering, co-ordinating and providing education and quality improvement activities and working within frameworks to achieve results. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to develop high quality written guidelines, procedures, educational, research or business materials. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including communication, negotiation, team building, influencing, conflict resolution and the building of a positive workplace culture. Proven ability and commitment to effectively role model, champion and promote teamwork and to supervise and develop staff (both formally and informally). Demonstrated skills and experience in service planning, including the identification, implementation and evaluation of initiatives to ensure continual quality improvement. Demonstrated commitment to professional development, continuing education and research including membership of a professional pharmacy association, preferably the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia, and active participation in conference presentations/posters and/or publications (or equivalent professional endeavours). Commitment to BMDH and WSLHD strategies, with demonstrated behaviours which align with the NSW Health and WSLHD CORE values and Act NSW Health Code of Conduct.
